Lab Services

These days, many people prefer to have diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging, at urgent care centers. There are many reasons for this choice. Since the urgent care center has flexible hours and no need to schedule an appointment, most people can have their test on the same day. On the other hand, most of the diagnostic tests that doctors order are on the list of services of an urgent care center. Less expensive costs are another reason why an urgent care center is a reasonable option for conducting diagnostic testing.

Arian Urgent Care Center offers its diagnostic services to its clients with the most accurate devices. On the other hand, this center also accepts a wide range of insurances. Besides, test results will be available to you in the shortest possible time.

Electrolyte testing

This test, also known as the electrolyte panel, measures the body’s main electrolytes:

  • Sodium: which plays an important role in the function of nerves and muscles
  • Chloride: which is involved in controlling body fluids, blood volume, and blood pressure
  • Potassium: which helps the heart function properly
  • Bicarbonate: which maintains acid-base balance in the body

Urinalysis

Urine tests are used to diagnose a range of disorders, including diabetes, urinary tract infections, and kidney disease. In this test, the concentration of the urine and contents of some substances are examined. For example, if your urine sample is cloudy, you may have a urinary tract infection. Or if some protein is found in your urine, you probably have kidney problems. A urinalysis checks for:

  • The acidity of the urine
  • Glucose
  • Ketones
  • Bilirubin
  • Blood products from white blood cells such as nitrites
  • Microscopic exam

STD tests

These tests help doctors diagnose sexually transmitted diseases. If left untreated, these chronic infections can lead to serious problems such as infertility, cancer, and organ damage. These tests are used to diagnose the following diseases:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis
STD testing

Fecal occult blood

The fecal occult blood test is performed on a stool sample to show whether there is hidden blood in the stool or not. This test usually helps specialists diagnose colon problems and is considered an option in colon cancer screening. If the test result is positive, other tests, such as colonoscopy, may be needed.

Strep tests

The result of this test shows whether your sore throat is caused by a bacterial agent called Streptococcus A. If the sore throat lasts for more than a week or is accompanied by other symptoms, having this test is necessary. For sampling, the healthcare practitioner inserts a swab into your mouth and rub it against the back of the throat and tonsils. The result of this test shows whether you need antibiotics or not.

PT / INR tests

Prothrombin time, abbreviated PT, indicates the body’s ability to clot blood. International normalized ratio (INR) is also used to control patients’ treatment plans taking a blood-thinning medication called warfarin. Your blood sample is needed to perform this test. These tests may be necessary if warfarin is part of your treatment plan or if you experience prolonged and unexplained bleeding as well as inappropriate blood clotting.

Pregnancy tests

Pregnancy tests check for a hormone known as human chorionic.
